Denise A. Kinch Denise Kinch began her healing work at a very young age by working with animals and became aware of the importance of the animal-human-nature bond in healing. Denise incorporates many areas of holistic healing in her work and has extensively studied both conventional and alternative medicines. She shares her knowledge throughout Europe, North America and South America. Denise’s qualifications include: Reiki Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho method, Practitioner and Teacher of Andean Medicine healing traditions, Animal Communicator and Healer, Certified in Shamanic Soul Retrieval, Certified in Crystal Healing, Certified in Karma Release. Denise has been welcomed into the Andean Healing Traditions and initiated with the highest rites of passage from Don Manuel Quispe and Don Martin Pinedo. She was present with Don Manuel Quispe in his home in Chuachua at the time of his death when he gave her his final, personal and highest rites and his personal Q'ero ceremonial poncho to carry on his traditions. Denise still has worked closely with Don Martin Pinedo and his wife Maria. In 2005 Don Martin gifted Denise with his Andean Condor, which he has worked with for over 20 years, because of her dedication and embodiment of the Andean tradition. Denise is the Founder and President of Vanishing Cultures Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization that assists the indigenous people of Peru. Her work with the Foundation includes leading the annual Mountain Medical Team to the villages high in the Andes of Peru to work with the people and their herds of llama and alpaca, traveling to the high Q'ero villages 13 times. Denise also leads annual journeys with young people and adults to the sacred sites of the Inca in Peru to work with the local Medicine people. Denise works out of the Pachamama Healing Center in Groveland, Massachusetts, which she began as a community healing center for people and animals. Paula Winters Paula is a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition, certified Flower Essence practitioner, certified Lyme Disease Flower Essence practitioner, certified Crystal Healing, certified Laying of Hands/Laying of Stones practitioner, Ear Candling practitioner and Essential Oils practitioner. She serves as Secretary on the Vanishing Cultures Foundation board of directors, a non-profit organization serving to help the indigenous people of Peru. Her personal mission is focused on grant writing, website creation and fundraising for the foundation in order to respond to the needs of the Peruvian children. Her path to alternative medicine was triggered with two life-changing events, one when she was two and the other when she was fifty-one. As a 2-year old paralyzed with polio, her family was too poor to afford conventional medical treatment so a family friend and chiropractor made daily visits to adjust her. She was eventually able to walk and actually danced ballet into her teens. In her early 20s, she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and struggled with the disease for 30 years. At fifty-one, with her immune system almost non-existent, she once again turned to alternative medicine finding a chiropractor and a Reiki practitioner to help her slowly begin regaining her health, medication free. Paula, with a degree in Mathematics, had a long career in banking and at a non-profit organization as a software engineer. She is currently working as a clinical assistant at Videyko Chiropractic and is building her healing practice in Newburyport. She can be reached at (978) 463-2040 or MunayHealing@yahoo.com . Kari Lyon Kari earned her BS in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and then went on to graduate from the Muscular Therapy Institute in Watertown, MA. She is also certified in Aston Patterning Techniques I & II. This technique, incorporating massage and exercise, is used to educate the client on how to use their bodies efficiently and improve overall posture. She trained with Shaman and Reiki Master Denise Kinch, and became certified in Reiki I and continued on with Reiki Master, Paula Winters, where she acquired her Reiki II certification. Kari has studied the Inca Medicine Tradition with Denise Kinch, completing the first level in the Fall of 2007. Her two-fold philosophy on bodywork is simple: treat each client as a whole and not as a series of symptoms, and treat each client with utmost respect and compassion. She believes everyone is capable of healing himself on a physical, emotional and spiritual level and her role in that healing is only to assist and support each client in his journey. Kari created Balanced Bodywork as a healthy space in which she can best utilize her knowledge of muscular therapy to help her clients heal their bodies. Yoga is one of the pathways I use to understand myself and the world around me. I have embraced Anusara in particular, although I believe many styles have healing and illuminating benefits to offer. Yoga has helped me overcome physical, mental and emotional limitations. I hope to offer the same to my students in fun, deep and heartfelt classes that celebrate our journey to self-discovery. Thank you to my students for helping me create a safe, loving and inspiring community. Also thank you to my teachers in Yoga, Andean Shamanism, Reiki and Flower Essence for teaching me to open to the flow of grace. Munay and Namaste. Jennifer Truppner has been a student of yoga since 1997 and received her 200 hour teaching certification from Anahata Integrated Yoga Teacher Training in Newbury MA. She truly put that to the test when her mother was brutally murdered by a stranger. Her determination to heal showed her that she needed to find peace with the man who had killed her mother. That our teachers take many forms. Through this journey she learned she could only free herself from her deepest wounds with forgiveness and compassion. She saw how to release her fears when she was willing to know them. She has found her power in choosing to liberate her personal victim. Sarah has realised she is responsible for her life journey and that by co-creating with spirit, anything is possible! Sarah is a healer and teacher. Her quest for knowledge has lead her to study Reiki, Andean Medicine tradition, Alchemical Healing and Aromatherapy.
