Massage

Massage therapists work to manipulate the body’s soft tissue and muscular structure allowing it to let go of tension associated with physical or emotional stress. There are many benefits to bodywork including reduction of pain, increased circulation, increase in immune function, decrease in emotional stress and increase of energy.

People receive massage for various reasons. It is a great way to maintain good mental health, heal the body of any physical or emotional stress and stay on top of the effects of everyday stress. Massage can also help alleviate symptoms associated with muscle strains, bursitis, low back pain, high blood pressure, depression and other chronic conditions.

When working with a client, Kari Lyon incorporates various modalities to fit a client’s needs including deep tissue, sports massage, neuromuscular therapy and energy work. Her aim is to assess the client, create a treatment plan and assist the client in achieving total wellness.

Kari offers half-hour, one hour and one and one half hour massage appointments and is available for home visits.

In addition to table work, Kari also offers 15-minute on-site chair massage. This is a great service for companies to offer for their employees. Chair massage is done in a special chair and the client remains fully clothed. This type of massage in the workplace increases work efficiency and decreases sick time. It is also a wonderful way for employers to show their appreciation to their employees.
