Inca Initiation

An in-depth exploration of the Inca Medicine Ways

Shamans in the Andes undergo a series of rites of passage as they develop their medicine body. Each level of the Andean Medicine Person holds a body of knowledge or set of skills which are the cornerstones for mastering reality and the dream body. This will be a three meeting training to explore in depth the myths, practices, and tools of the Medicine People.

The first meeting will explore the range of practice of the Hampe, the healer, and their mastering of elemental energies in nature, clearing and awakening of their luminous body, and their connection to all the levels of the pachamama. The Hampe, is considered the steward of the land, who is in synchronous relationship with earth cycles and understands the Illas or reproductive principles of all forms of life.

The second level of the medicine person talks to the spirits of the Achachillas or Apus, the ancient ones that reside on mountains. They are the stewards of their lineage and are able to summon the spirit and voice of the mountain spirits in ceremony. They have mastered the four elements and are able to intercede in behalf of the Ayllu for meteorological changes. The Apu and the Lightning spirit allow them to become seers for they have mastered fear, stepped beyond death in rites of renewal and rebirth.

The third meeting will focus on the practices of the highest level of Inca Shamanism that has been shared with me, where the practices of timelessness and stillness are essential to summon one's destiny. They dwell in multiple realities as he has mastered his dream body that is his umbilical cord across all realities. Known as the one who chews the knowledge of the sacred to, then, feed his people. We will learn through play and ceremony the ancient ways to understand our multiple universes and taste at least a bit of our own luminous nature and becoming.

There will be an optional fourth meeting, topic to be discussed with the group.

Advanced Inca Medicine program participants must have completed the basic Inca Medicine Wheel training and be willing to make a commitment to all three meetings in sequence.
